Recycling

We can collect and recycle your old appliance through the Distributor Take back Scheme (DTS). Simply ensure your appliance is ready for collection at the delivery point when we arrive. It should be disconnected and prepared for safe handling, making recycling convenient and easy for you.

If you prefer to recycle your appliance yourself, you can locate your nearest recycling facility through the designated collection points. However, as members of the Distributor Take back Scheme (DTS), we also offer convenient recycling options, taking care of everything for you and making the process hassle-free.

The cost of recycling through your local council can vary depending on your location and the type of appliance. While some councils may charge up to £50 for collection and recycling, our recycling service offers you a cost-effective alternative. Check with your local council first, as choosing our service could save you money.

The recycling process varies by appliance type. Cooling appliances are specially processed to safely remove gases and insulation materials. Other electrical items are treated separately to ensure materials are responsibly recycled or disposed of appropriately.

We comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, which requires retailers to offer customers who purchase new electrical goods the opportunity to recycle their old appliances free of charge. Retailers operating their own collection schemes must, at minimum, offer customers free take-back of old electrical appliances on a like-for-like basis.
